and I live in Celle, which is about 35 kilometers northeast of Hanover, Lower Saxony, in the northern part of Germany. I teach at Burgdorf Grammar School, and my subjects are German, English, and Drama.
I studied German and English at the Georg-August University at Göttingen and at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, in the United States.
When I came back from the States I worked at the NIGE - the Niedersächsisches Internatsgymnasium at Esens -, and later at the Altes Gymnasium in Oldenburg.
Then, in 1989 my wife Margarete and I decided to go abroad again, this time to Turkey. For four years I worked at the Alman Lisesi, the German School in Istanbul.

I used to work at the Alman Lisesi, the German School in Istanbul, Turkey, for four years, so I include the link to its interesting homepage. Look it up, and see what's going on at the Alman Lisesi, in Istanbul or in Turkey.
Tucson, located in the beautiful Southwest of the US, has often been associated with the legends of Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday. But apart from the Tombstone myth, the city (and its homepage) is worth a visit.
Moreover, Tucson is the home of the University of Arizona (UofA), one of the leading universities in the Southwest, which offers a wide range of study possibilities plus a great many extracurricular activities.
I include the link to Tucson and the University of Arizona because I studied at the UofA, which was an exciting time in my life. Apart from the intellectual challenge, Arizona is a state that offers everything in abundance, except a California beach: desert, mountains, lakes, and forests - see it, and fall in love with it.
